Interview with Christine Follows, from the article
“International Perspective” by Maurice Kershaw,
FNGH
“I did go to the NGH Solid Gold
Weekend in February this year, but this is my first real
NGH convention and believe me, I am astounded with the
organization, the workshops and the number of people attending.”
Christine Follows directs Chrysalis Therapies in Ottawa,
Canada, and is certified both as a hypnotist and a Bowen
practitioner. “My father introduced me to metaphysical
matters,” she replied to my question about how she
became interested in this field.
She continued, “I have been involved
with past life regressions, have taken intensive training
in hypnosis, and now, as a full-time therapist, I am at
last involved with the work I was meant to be doing."
"My training and certification in
Bowen therapies also fits right in with the scheme of
things concerning the essential mind-body connection.
Bowen is not massage, but it involves gentle moves on
groups of muscles, enabling the body to receive messages
from the brain. I am enjoying my work tremendously, and
although I am not a marketing person, my partner is, so
all is working out very well.
Between five children ranging in age
from 11 to 28, this 51-year-young therapist finds time
to garden (“my therapy”), read, play piano (“my passion”),
train in palliative care, and spread her winning smile
to those around her. I suspect that the Guild and her
community have a rising star in their midst. ”
